Ssangyong The Platinum Seoul Station Will Go on Presale

2020-02-18

Ssangyong E&C announced on February 18 that it would open a model house for Ssangyong The Platinum Seoul Station, an officetel complex to be built in Jungnim-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, with presales to begin on February 21.

To be located at 363, Jungnim-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, this officetel building (B7/22F) will feature 576 duplex (two-floor) officetel units with an exclusive usage area of 17-32.74 m2. This officetel is located between the Seoul Metro Line 2 & 5 Chungjeongno Station and Seoul Station, a transfer hub for Seoul Metro Line 1 and Line 4, the Gyeongui-Jungang Line, the Airport Railway Express (AREX) and the Korea Train Express (KTX).

Ssangyong E&C explained that, once the reconstruction of the Seosomun KAL Building in Sunhwa-dong is completed, the new building will be home to financial subsidiaries of the Samsung Group, creating a large pool of potential buyers, along with the existing general hospital, hotels, a university and public offices. Furthermore, the neighborhood is home to a lifestyle infrastructure that consists of Seosomun Historical Park, which was recently remodeled as a mixed-use cultural space with a total floor area of 46,000 m2, and Seoullo 7017, an elevated park reminiscent of Manhattan’s High Line that has become one of Seoul’s hottest attractions.

“An officetel complex in Seoul’s central business district is a rarity and warrants ample demand,” one company official said. “Unlike apartment presales, officetel presales are not subject to a priority system or government-imposed price ceilings.”

To help prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, Ssangyong E&C will operate an online model house (www.ssyapt.com/seoulstaion). At the same time, at an offline model house, disinfection procedures will be carried out daily, and a thermal scanner will be installed at the entrance to prevent entry by visitors with a possible fever. Furthermore, the company will offer emergency medical services to emergency patients.
