Ssangyong E&C (Chairman & CEO: Kim, S.Joon) participated in a Marine Corps Training Camp for two nights and three days on Muui-do (island), Jung-gu, Incheon, recently (April 21st ~ 23rd), with 53 new university graduates, in the first half of 2010.

At the camp, the new employees received close-order drills, Marine Corps PT (physical training), rubber boat training on land and at sea called IBS (inflatable boat small), rappel training that involved jumping off a 11.3 m high cliff - the height considered to be most feared by humans - and a special lecture from a well-known person to strengthen willpower.

A new employee, Hwang In-Chan (30 years old), gave his impression of the training program, “I gained confidence to overcome any obstacle through the Marine Corps. When I am stationed in the field, I want to do well in whatever task is given to me.”

Meanwhile, Ssangyong E&C has been operating the Marine Corps ‘Overcome the Limitations’ Training Camp as a formal program for new employee training from 2006, with the purpose of developing a strong ethic of team work, a challenging spirit and loyalty to the company in new employees.
