Ssangyong’s New Environmental Technology extended for 3 years

The Company-developed KSMBR method (KSMBR is the new wastewater treatment technique to combine the MBR process with the Dynamic State Bioreaction system by Tri-sectional aeration SBR process and Flow alternation technology operation) had its New Environmental Technology certification extended for 3 years at the screening session carried out by the Ministry of Environment on September 18.
The New Environmental Technology certification was granted in October 2005 in consideration of the government’s environment-related policy. Since its commercialization in 2006, 97.3 billion won worth of applications have been made in a total of 107 places, including sewage/waste water terminal treatment facilities.
The extension of the certification is expected to continue to put the Company in a more advantageous position in winning relevant works.
The KSMBR method won the Presidential Award at the 8th Environmental Technology Award ceremony held by the Ministry of Environment in December 2007 for its high-level of applications at worksites and high efficiency.
