Ssangyong starts remodeling work for Pyeonghwa APT in Dangsan-dong

Recently, the Company started the remodeling work for Pyeonghwa Apartment (284 households in three buildings built in 1978) in Dangsan-dong 3-ga, Seoul, which is the second remodeling project of a large-scale apartment complex in the country.

Through the remodeling work, the apartment buildings will be changed to a type that makes an elevator stop for two households on each floor. Upon the completion of the work slated for July 2010, the building will have a new basement parking lot and be equipped with earthquake-resistant facilities. The size of individual houses will be enlarged from the current 51.87 ㎡ (= 15 pyeong) ~ 101.55 ㎡ (30 pyeong) to 71.08 ㎡ (= 21 pyeong ) ~ 137.72 ㎡ (41 pyeong).

A Company official concerned said, “Ssangyong Yega Classic Apartment (216 households / previously named Gungjeon) in Bangbae-dong was the first case of the remodeling work for the entire complex. The procedure for this one, the second case of the remodeling for the entire complex, and Dongshin Apartment in Dogok-dong, the third one, is proceeding as scheduled. The work for this one has commenced. As for the 384-household Dongshin Apartment, existing households are moving out and the work will be commenced by the end of the year.”
