The site for a project to build the Sangam DMC high-tech industry center, and store buildings (site manager: general manager Choi Beom-jong), which Ssangyong E&C is conducting, was designated as an exemplary project site in environment management for the first half of 2007 by Mapo-gu ward office on December 20.

The site is the only site to be designated as an exemplary site in environment management among 155 sites in Mapo-gu. The site earned high marks for making far-reaching efforts in environment management, by installing truck wheel washers to reduce harmful floating dust, and watering roads, as well as by cleaning the site and nearby roads every Friday.

Meanwhile, site manager Choi Jong-beom, who supervises the site (which earned higher marks in assessment of project site management compared with other sites nearby in a recent audit conducted by Seoul Metropolitan City) won a prize from SH Corp., the host of the project, for contributing to the DMC project on December 29.

Choi has produced two technical masters during the project period, by emphasizing the importance of teamwork and self-motivated skill development to his staff. He also introduced T-type Steel Composite (TSC) beam for the first time in Ssangyong E&C, as part of his far-reaching efforts to spread and use new engineering methods.
