Ssangyong E&C wins project to remodel IBIS Ambassador Hotel Suwon

On December 28, 2006, Ssangyong Engineering & Construction single-handedly won a project to remodel the IBIS Ambassador Hotel Suwon, which is hosted by Myeongseon Development Co, for KRW 22.5 billion.
The project will transform a Kim’s Club store into an IBIS hotel with 13 stories and seven underground levels (Total floor space: 39,735 sq. meters) following planned remodeling work, and expansion by two stories. The project will last for nine months after the launch.
Ssangyong reportedly has succeeded in winning the project thanks to a solid relationship of trust with Ambassador Hotel Group Korea, which it has built up while successfully carrying out various projects for Ambassador Hotel Group. The Customer Service Division (General Manager: Hwang Jong-han) of Ssangyong E&C won a plaque of appreciation for faithfully conducting maintenance and reparation work from IBIS Ambassador Hotel on November 16. Ssangyong E&C also successfully completed projects to build the Novotel Ambassador in Doksan-dong, and IBIS Ambassador Hotel in Daechi-dong, as well as a project to renovate Sofitel Ambassador Hotel.
