Ssangyong Eng. & Const. wins a turnkey work for the Sosa-Noksan Highway

On October 20th, the Company, as the leading firm of a consortium, won a KRW 161.2 billion (the Company’s portion KRW 72.5 billion or 45%) turnkey project for the Sosa-Noksan Highway from the Public Procurement Service.
The consortium, which includes Dongbu, Hwail, Daewoon, and Woorim, got 91.6 points and pushed aside the other competitors, such as SK (89.8 points) and Daewoo (88.5 points) in the design deliberation process. The Company has obviously reached the top position even in terms of design. Thanks to that the Company will surely have an advantageous position in any future bid to win turnkey projects.
The work comprises a four-lane, 6.67km highway linking Sosa-dong, Jinhae with Noksan-dong, Busan for the industrial complex in the Busan-Jinhae FEZ. It includes nine bridges (total length = 0.63km) and three tunnels (total length = 2.95km). It will take 37 months to complete the work.
