SsangYong awarded military facility contract

SsangYong E&C has been awarded military facility contract as a sole contractor with a price of KRW 71.2bn by The Armed Forces Financial Management Corps on October 6. It was one of the largest projects that The Armed Forces Financial Management Corps awarded this year as a lowest price tender. SsangYong E&C participated in the bid as its management index and credibility had improved after successfully closing the M&A deal. SsangYong E&C has prepared the bid proposal through on-site survey, meeting with person in charge, analyzing competitors’ strategies, design variation andthe cost of subcontractors which led to its higher competitiveness. The construction site is located in Seosan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, Korea and the contract includes buildingmilitary facilities, four 4-story dormitories for officers, residences, cafeteria, and annexes. The construction period is 23 months from the commencement date.
