SsangYong E&C Employees Donate ₩6M to Jacob’s House in Pyeongtaek

2024-01-19

On January 18, SsangYong Engineering & Construction announced that it delivered donations and goods worth KRW 6 million, all collected from its employees, to Jacob’s House, a residential child care community in Pyeongtaek.

This charitable act was made possible thanks to the combined donations of all HQ employees and the proceeds collected from the in-house sharing café. The café was an initiative led by the SsangYong E&C Junior Board, a group composed of junior-level employees, as part of their year-end activities in 2023.

The received goods and monetary aid will be used to support children aged 0 to 3 who are under the care of Jacob’s House.

“This donation is the result of the warm hearts of our employees and the diligent efforts of the Junior Board,” said Yoo Jong-sik, the head of the Domestic Construction Division of Ssangyong E&C. He added, “We will continue to carry out various activities to positively contribute to the local community.”

Meanwhile, SsangYong E&C continues to extend its reach of social contributions across the country, with initiatives such as caring for individuals with severe disabilities, donating fire extinguishers to local fire stations, and providing heavy equipment support for disaster relief efforts.
