Ssangyong E'C, led by CEOs Kim Ki-Myong and Kim In-soo, secured a contract for a mixed-use apartment complex project in Tongbok-dong, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do, valued at KRW 289.3 billion in June. The company will serve as the exclusive contractor for this project.

 

This extensive mixed-use apartment complex is situated at 108-3, Tongbok-dong, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do. It comprises four buildings that span from six underground floors to 49 above-ground floors. This complex will offer a total of 784 residential units, with floor areas ranging from 84 to 129 square meters, alongside 50 officetel units and a diverse range of neighborhood amenities and convenience facilities. All units will be available for pre-sale to the public, making this the largest mixed-use apartment complex that Ssangyong E'C has introduced since the launch of the "The Platinum" brand in 2018.

 

The site boasts excellent public transportation and inter-city connectivity. It is in close proximity to Pyeongtaek Station, which serves Subway Line 1 and the Gyeongbu Line, as well as the SRT Pyeongtaek Jije Station. Additionally, the Pyeongtaek Express and Intercity Bus Terminal is adjacent to the location. The complex benefits from being situated within the bustling downtown area of Pyeongtaek, offering a well-developed living infrastructure.

 

In the future, this region is poised to experience a significant influx of young professionals and key talent. This anticipated growth can be attributed to the planned establishment of advanced semiconductor industrial complexes, including the Godeok Industrial Complex (home to Samsung Electronics) and the upcoming Pyeongtaek Brain City. Furthermore, there are prospects for significant infrastructure improvements in the area, driven by development incentives such as the establishment of a compact city and the expansion of the GTX A and C lines.

 

An official from Ssangyong E'C stated, "Our aim is to develop a distinguished mixed-use apartment complex near Pyeongtaek Station, positioning it as a major local landmark that offers premium living spaces." He added, "In the latter half of the year, we will actively seek contracts for urban revitalization projects in metropolitan and major cities across the country, as well as apartment complex renovations."

 

During the first half of the year (January to June), Ssangyong E'C successfully landed a combined total of KRW 1.3048 trillion in contracts. This figure includes KRW 462.4 billion from international projects and KRW 842.4 billion in domestic endeavors. Among the noteworthy contracts are the prestigious Park View Residence in Dubai (valued at KRW 151.3 billion), ASML Korea's new campus in Hwaseong (KRW 180.4 billion), and the mixed-use apartment complex project in Tongbok-dong, Pyeongtaek (KRW 289.3 billion).
