Ssangyong E&C Names New Head of Overseas Business Division

On June 19, 2023, Ssangyong E'C (CEO, Kim Ki-myung) appointed Woo Sang-hee, Senior Managing Director, as the new head of its Overseas Business Division.
"Ssangyong E'C has been best known as a leader in the overseas construction business. Since Global Sae-A became its new largest shareholder late last year, the company has strived to expand its overseas network into Costa Rica, Central and South America, and other new markets. Against this back, we have brought in a new executive to reinvent our presence in the overseas construction market," a Ssangyong E'C official said.
Woo started his construction career in 1991 at Hyundai E'C, where he held various positions, including site manager for the South Beach Mixed Development Project in Singapore and Vice President in charge of the Hyundai Global Business Center (GBC) construction project and the Architecture Business Division. Later at HanmiGlobal, he served as Vice President of Overseas Architecture, Global Business Division and also as Saudi Arabia Country Manager. He has over 30 years of experience in global construction projects.
