Kim Won-taek, head of Ssangyong Engineering and Construction’s Kuala Lumpur Office, won an award from the Minister of Land, Transport, and Maritime Affairs on December 31 last year.

Kim actively participated in bids to win projects for repairs and building construction, when he was serving as the chief of the technology team at the company’s Singapore office in 1993, making critical contributions to the company’s acquisition of projects. He also spearheaded overseas development projects as the head of the overseas development division of the company in 2006.

In November, he was honored for his contributions to the development of overseas investment projects and overseas development projects, including gaining permission for housing sales in a short period of time, which is rare for a foreign company. These achievements were a result of his strong push for housing development projects, while serving in the dual posts of the chief of the Kuala Lumpur office and of the local affiliate for development projects.
