The Ministry of Construction and Transportation said on August 31st that Ssangyong E&C was placed the second in 2006 list that assessed a builder’s construction management performance.

This year, Ssangyong E&C raised its ranking by one notch from last year by winning orders worth KRW 3.94 billion from the sector of construction management out of surveyed 97 construction-related companies, including 15 builders. The achievement was a result of Ssangyong E&C’s strategic efforts to train specialists and improve its capability in construction management projects since 1997.

Since 2002, Ssangyong E&C has won a total of KRW 7.58 billion in orders for construction management, including the Third National Highway in India and the third construction project in Bucheon Techno Park. In addition to the orders, Ssangyong Engineering won construction management-related orders worth KRW 3.29 billion.

Meanwhile, construction management refers to an advanced management business that allows a management company to maximize the effects of a construction project by scientifically and systematically managing the construction procedures.
