On August 4, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-Hoon paid a visit to the worksite of Ssangyong E&C (Site Manager: Kwon Oh-Tae), Seoul Subway Sector 913.

The visit was arranged as the mayor expressed his wish to pay a visit to the most difficult sector of the ongoing subway works. He was accompanied by 50-plus officials.

He was briefed on the status of the ongoing work on the hardest part of the Sector 913, i.e. Highway Bus Terminal Station. He encouraged the Company employees, asking them to pay careful attention to safety at all times. The work for the Highway Bus Terminal Station is the most difficult part of the subway construction work, as there is a highway bus terminal, a department store and a hotel above as well as an underground commercial arcade. For these reasons, the Company employs special construction techniques, such as TRcM and CAM, the first of its kind attempted in Korea.

The 1,780 m section in Banpo-dong, Seoul, which includes two stations and tracks, is scheduled for completion by March 2008.
