SsangYong E&C Offers a 2012 Kkurugi Summer Camp

Ssangyong E&C offers a "Kkurugi Summer Camp" for the 2 days of Aug. 1st ~2nd. One hundred and fifty eight elementary kids of the SsangYong's executives and employees' participated in the camp at Soopchewon in Ganwon-do.

The summer camp provides various kinds of programs for children, including completing "Mission Forest Possible", swimming at Water Park, experiencing Korean traditional food, making a mega-size bowl of Bibimbap, harvesting potatoes, and so on.

In particular, Soopchewon, the camp venue, is a forest educational organization, operated by the Korea Forest Foundation, an affiliated organization of the Korea Forest Service. Soopchewon carries out various theme experience programs, and aims to provide systematic education training about forest and trees.

Suak-woo Hong, a deputy department head from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, said, "I have always been busy with my work and didn't have much time to spend time with children." And he adds "This summer camp is a wonderful opportunity for children to make good friends and have fond memories."

Su-yeon Yoon, 12 years old, said, "Every time I participate in a camp with dad, it is so much fun. I always ask dad to go to camps together." And she said, "The Kkurugi Summer Camp is always very meaningful and a fun challenge."

The camp with children is a welfare program of Ssangyong E&C, and has taken place twice a year during the children's summer and winter vacations since 2003. This summer camp is in its 16th anniversary.
