SsangYong E&C, wins a contract for the Bedok Mixed Development Project in Singapore

A new 260 billion-won project to develop 8 condominiums (14 stories), shopping facilities and a bus terminal seeking BCA Green Mark Platinum utilizing the BIM scheme upholding its reputation as an eminent construction company with 5 ongoing projects in total worth 1.8 trillion won in Singapore alone

SsangYong Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. (Chairman & CEO Kim, S. Joon) announced that it won a contract for the construction of the Bedok Mixed Development Project in Singapore worth 260 billion won (US 231 million) as a stand-alone contractor.

The project is to build eight 14 story-condominiums with 584 units, shopping facilities and 20,000 ㎡of a bus terminal in the Bedok area within 30 months after groundbreaking by employing the BIM (Building Information Modeling) scheme which uses three-dimensional software to increase productivity in building design and construction.

An official from SsangYong E&C said "we are looking to implement various green technologies and energy saving systems to obtain BCA Green Mark Platinum, one of the world’s top three eco-friendly certificates while pursuing efficient construction based on the BIM scheme."

Meanwhile, SsangYong E&C is carrying out multiple projects such as the Marina Coastal Highway, Downtown Line Stage 2 and the W Hotel, in total worth 1.8 trillion won (US approx. 1.6 billion).
