The Following Contract is Expected … Consolidating its Position in the Malaysian Market

Ssanyong Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd (Chairman, S. Joon Kim) reported that it has currently won a contract valued at approximately 145 million US dollars (153 billion won) to build the finest serviced apartment, Damansara City Residence (Damansara City 2 Parcel 1) in Malaysia.

The ordering organization is Damansara City Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of a major real estate investment development company in Malaysia, CuocoLand, which has been actively participating in the high-class housing business in Singapore, Malaysia, China, Vietnam, and other countries.

Damansara City Resident, which is expected to be located in the new main street in Kuala Lumpur, Damansara Heights, is a luxury serviced apartment complex consiting of two 30-story apartment buildings with 268 households and structured as 12 types by sizes ranging from 110.99㎡(34 pyeong) to 647.3㎡(196 pyeong).
In the apartment complex, there is a poolside barbecue garden where people can enjoy a barbecue party, pools, banquet hall, and other accommodation as good as in the five-star hotels, and one side of the bathroom and living room of each household is made of glass so that the residents can have a nice view of Kuala Lumpur. The construction is expected to be completed by March 2014.

Someone with an active interest from Ssanyong Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd said that “we have won contracts worth 300 billion won only this year and thankfully we can maintain our reputation in the high-class construction field in Malaysia. We are expecting to have a superior position in the following construction of the Damansara City complex.”

In the meantime, Ssanyong Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd has won a 127 million US dollars (136.5 billion won) contract to build LE Nouvel@KLCC, which was designed by the world’s famous architect, Jean Nouvel, in Malaysia last June, followed by Waikiki condominium, Shah Alam Tower Center, Sarawak State Mosque, Kuching indoor gym,
Hospital Selayang, Suasana Sentral Condominium, and The Penggawa residence development business which are all worth 740 million US dollars.
