On the 29th, in the midst of an increased focus on earthquake-resistant designs after the earthquakes in Japan, Ssangyong Engineering & Construction (representative, Kim,Seok-jun) is highlighted as it announces its new vibration control technologies for the last 2 years through technology exchange events in Ssangyong.

In the Dangsan Yega Classic (previously Pyeonghwa Aprtment) remodeling vibration control technology presented this year, damper (vibrational energy absorption system), which is buried in the walls, absorbs the power from the sides of building walls during earthquakes, and seismic isolators equipped on both sides of the damper disperse the power from the floor.
It also uses steel plates, instead of adding reinforced concrete, to reinforce existing pillars. Through these procedures, the buildings are resistant to earthquakes of 6.5~7 levels, and there is a reduction in the construction period for vibration control on one floor from 14 to 7 days, and a cut down in the expenses by 20~30%.
Last year, the company won the first prize for vibration control technology by using SS damper technology that (Stable Steel Damper) the company had developed.
The technology used in the Byulnae New City Ssangyong Yega construction field features the lightweight special damper (SS Damper) between the two walls above the exit, which are resistant to earthquakes of 6.5~7 levels.
In particular, the SS damper is patent registered, and was registered as a construction new excellent technology last August.
Meanwhile, in the event held for the urban regeneration exhibition in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu on the 29th, 250 people participated, including the representative of Ssangyong Engineering & Construction, Kim, Seok-jun, its employees and subcontractors, as well as 24 technologies, which were ed among 140 technologies that competed with each other at the preliminaries.

The 12th technology exchange event this year, to be held by Ssangyong Engineering & Construction first started in 2000 with an aim for a 3-way cooperation between subcontractors and for an increase in technological competitiveness through discovery and spread of technology development cases inside the company.
Among the 1,056 technologies presented so far, 19 are patented, 24 announced patent applications, 2 are designated as new construction technologies, 2 are practical new devices, and in addition to 71.6 billion won of cost reductions accomplished, there is a reduction in the construction period to 11,491 days.
