On June 13, the 913 Sector Jobsite of Seoul Subway Line-9 (Project Manager: Director Kown Oh-tae) carried out by Ssangyong Eng & Const received a citation from Seoul City as the best sector.

The jobsite comprised of the 1.78km section between Sehwa Girls’ High School and Ganganm Highway Bus Terminal, including two stations, is faced with unfavorable working conditions, as it is located in a busy section of the town and the work has to be done just 15 centimeters below Subway Line-3. The citation was given in recognition of its excellent quality management and the efforts made to keep nearby areas clean.

The selection of Ssangyong’s jobsite as the best sector among the ongoing 20 subway sectors (i.e. 14 for Line-9, 4 for Line-7 and 2 for Line-3) will enable us to display the name Ssangyong as the No.1 contractor engaged in subway construction work.

In August 2006, fifty major officials of Seoul City, including Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, paid a visit to the jobsite to encourage employees carrying out the work in the most difficult section of the subway.
