Ssangyong wins a private-capital financed dredging work project in Palmi Island

On March 7, Ssangyong E&C-led consortium won the KRW129.8 billion (Ssangyong’s share: 47.7 percent or KRW51.1 billion) dredging work project near Palmi Island from Incheon Regional Maritime Affairs & Fisheries Office.
This private-capital financed project is to dredge the vessel route of 16.47 million ㎡ (4,290m long, 831m wide and 4.7m deep) near the Northwest coast of Palmi Island in Incheon and to facilitate the safe passage for vessels departing from Incheon.
The sludge soil collected from the dredging work will be supplied to construction sites to recover the investment cost. The stable material procurement to Sihwa Multi-Techno Valley construction site and Incheon North Port Wharf construction site is expected to achieve the punctual construction and the cost reduction.
