2005-11-20

Ssangyong E&C announced that it has won a bid for a KR\ 141.5 billion project to build roads in Gyeonggi Province from the Public Procurement Service on November 10, 2005, the largest contract that the state-run agency initiated this year.

The construction involves building a four-lane road and expanding an existing road to accommodate increasing traffic in the city of Guri, Gyeonggi Province, the company said.

The project will take 71 months to be completed from the commencement.

Ssangyong officials said that the company succeeded in clinching the bid as the government agency recognized its experience and business capability in the construction sector as well as its brisk business performance this year.
