- The Changi Rise Condominium Project received the Best Buildable Design Awards 2005 in the category of residential non-landed buildings. This is a turnkey project, including design and contractual work, with its excellent design capability being recognized worldwide.
- The 11th award received in Singapore since the Raffles City Project in 1987, a record performance among Korean construction firms.

The Changi Rise Condominium Project, carried out by Ssangyong Engineering & Construction (President: Kim Suk-jun), received the BCA Awards in Singapore in the category of residential non-landed buildings.

Ssangyong’s winning of the prize in the area of design for the turnkey project is said to have enhanced the status of the Korean construction industry one notch higher.

The 598 household (sized 29 ~ 97 pyeong or 95 ~ 320m²) complex located near Changi Airport is a high-end resort type apartment comprised of eleven 9∼10-story apartment buildings, an open-air swimming pool, a man-made beach, a water slide, amusement ride facilities and a small theater.

Ssangyong won the project from 2000 City Development, the largest real estate investment/development business in Singapore, for US$63 million in 2000. In June 2004, it passed CONQUAS, a quality inspection procedure known to be highly stringent.

The BCA (Building & Construction Authority) Awards are presented every year to the top design and contractual work businesses based on their capability and technological prowess concerning buildings built the previous year in Singapore.

Since its first advancement into the construction market of Singapore, Ssangyong has received a total of eleven awards, a record figure set by a Korean construction firm. In the area of building design, it also received the annual prize in 2001 for its Capital Tower Project.

Ssangyong has built a total of US$5 billion worth of construction projects, such as Raffles City in Singapore, which includes the 73-story Westin Stamford Hotel, which was registered in the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest hotel in the world. It is currently carrying out construction projects, including Manado Bypass and Sumatra East Coast Highway in Indonesia and Third National Highway in India.
