Capital Tower became a winning project of the Construction Excellence Awards 2002

On March 13, 2002 Capital Tower, known as forth-highest building in Singapore (248 meter-height, 53-storey of steel structure building with the total floor area of 125,470 square meters), was officially announced as the winning project of the Construction Excellence Award 2002 in the commercial building category, presented by the BCA(Building and Construction Authority, Singapore). The project marked the highest CONQUAS(Construction Quality Assessment System) score of 85.3 points in the commercial building category in July 2001, and in 2001 was also presented a Certificate of Merit for the Best Buildable Design Awards by the BCA.

Ssangyong has became an awardee 9 times of the BCA Awards since the Authority had started to present the award in 1986, plainly showing itself as quality-first contractor with high reputation in reliability.

The BCA Awards for Construction Excellence accord recognition to construction projects which have been judged to have demonstrated performance excellence in Singapore every year. This Awards aim to serve as an incentive for contractors operating in Singapore to pay particular attention to high standards of management, technical expertise and workmanship.

The BCA Awards 2002 Ceremony will be held on 25 April 2002 at Shangri-La Hotel, in which Ssangyong will be given the trophy for the Award.
