Roadbed facilities contract of Boseong~Imseong-ri Railway construction Phase 6

SsangYong E&C has won the Roadbed facilities contract of Boseong ~Imseong-ri Railway construction Phase 6 ordered by Korea Rail Network Authority at USD 73 billion as a leading contractor (share of 74.7%, USD 55 billion).

This will be the last project based on lowest price ordered by Korea Rail Network Authority this year, and also the first large-scale railway construction that SsangYong participated in as a leading contractor after the completion of its rehabilitation process. Moreover, it is much significant because it’s a signal of SsangYong E&C’s recovery of its bidding competitiveness in terms of intimate collaboration of the cost estimation team and sales team.

This project includes building 13.72km long roadbed facilities in Jeollanam-do between Namsan-ri, Miam-myeon, Yeongam-gun and Maewol-ri, Haksan-myeon, Yeongam-gun, 9.28km earthworks, and nine 2.49km bridges, seven 1.95km tunnels, and Yeongam Station.

33 companies participated in this competition on August 27th, and SsangYong E&C, as a main contractor, had organized a consortium with Dae-a E&C (10%), Daelim E&C (10%), and Dodam E&C (3.5%) to win the bid.
