Ssangyong E&C’s ‘The Platinum’ to Focus on the Seoul, Seoul Capital Area and Metropolitan City Housing Markets in 2022

2022-02-16

Ssangyong E&C announced that it would provide some 8,100 units across 14 apartment complexes in 2022. In particular, the company is set on introducing new complexes in major cities (including remodeled apartment complexes) that can raise the stature of The Platinum brand. In fact, Ssangyong E&C has recently enjoyed successful general presales of an apartment complex that will be remodeled, a novel feat in Korea.

Among the more than 8,100 units, some 60 percent, or 4,829 units to be exact, will be located in Seoul and the Seoul Capital Area. In addition, 2,739 units are set to be provided in major metropolitan cities, including Daejeon, Busan and Ulsan. This suggests that 94% of the company’s apartment offerings for the year will take place in large cities.

This year, the District 3D Redevelopment Project in Goean-dong, Bucheon and the Jakjeon Hyundai Apartment Redevelopment Project in Incheon are drawing particular attention from home buyers in Seoul and the Seoul Capital Area. Similarly, the company will be offering regional housing cooperative apartments, a hot item among aspiring homeowners, in Eupnae-dong, Daejeon and Jeonpo-dong, Busan.

Furthermore, in December, apartment complexes earmarked for remodeling in Bundang, a first-generation new town, and Dapsimni-dong, Seoul will launch their general presales.

“Since we launched our apartment brand The Platinum, we have enjoyed a continual sellout streak. To build on this momentum, we have resolved to make 2022 the first year to expand our customer base and engage in active presales efforts,” a company official said. “It is not easy to make market fores for this year due to the upcoming presidential election and other factors. Still, we will continue to push forward, focusing on offering The Platinum apartments in the most promising markets, namely Seoul, the Seoul Capital Area and other metropolitan cities.”
