SsangYong E&C held its 13th Technology Exchange Event

Recently (on March 23), SsangYong E&C (Chairman & CEO, S. Joon, Kim) held its 13th Technology Exchange Event along with 200 attendees including its own management and staff and other employees from partners in the SsangYong Urban Renewal Exhibit Hall located in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, Korea,

The event was intended for developing and spreading internal technology development cases so that its own competitiveness and mutual cooperation with partners could be promoted. This time, a total of 245 technology cases were submitted to the competition in the fields of engineering, architecture, electricity, facilities, and plants.

In the competition, a total of 11 cases won awards. In particular, “Enhancement of Underground KTX Railway Construction Method” was ed as the best technology case in engineering. The case introduced how an underground tunnel entrance could be constructed around the clock without suspending train operations.

Since launched in March 2000, the annual Technology Exchange Event has produced 21 patent registrations, 27 patent applications, 3 new construction technologies, 1 new environmental technology, and 2 utility models out of a total of 1,301 technology cases submitted.
