On July 3, Bucheon Techno Park-III built by Ssangyong Eng & Const received the 2007 Hankyung Housing Prize in the sector of apartment-type factories.

Each unit of the 330,282㎡ (total floor space)-complex, the largest of its kind in Asia, is currently sold. It is comprised of twelve 13-story (with basement) buildings complete with convenience facilities, show rooms, employee dormitories and children’ playrooms, in addition to a “drive-in” parking system which allows trucks to go up to offloading areas on each floor, 2,400 parking spaces, a high-speed information/communication network, an emergency broadcast system and a vehicle monitoring system.

Other features include a deck-type design, the first of its kind among apartment-type factories, a central deck plaza, a rooftop rest area, X-Plaza and a park (A total of 19,800㎡ landscaped spaces) where employees enjoy a rest.

The Hankyung Housing Prize is awarded by the Korea Economic Daily to a builder selected for excellence in building esthetics, environmentally-friendliness and practicality.
