Ssangyong completes construction of motorway between Galmi and Baekwoon Lake

Ssangyong Engineering and Construction held a ceremony to mark the completion of a motorway between Galmi and Baekwoon Lake.
About 200 guests, including Rep. Ahn Sang-soo, Uiwang city mayor Lee Hyeong-goo and Gwacheon police chief Chang Hyang-jin were in attendance at the ceremony. Ssangyong’s senior vice president Kim Myeong-hoe and executive vice president Namgung Sang also participated.
In October 2004, Ssangyong started constructing the two-lane, 2.05-kilometer-long motorway. During 30 months of construction, Ssangyong also built a bridge and a tunnel (L=120 meters).
The city of Uiwang designated the motorway as a road of culture and art and plans to offer a variety of cultural events such as exhibitions and art performances.
