Notes/Awards | The first Korean- Japanese joint venture construction company |
We won this project in a joint venture with a Japanese contractor, becoming the first Korean builder to do so at that time.
The company also attracted considerable attention from the Korean construction industry for the way it adopted the fast-track method for project delivery, in which design and construction phases overlap, with only basic drawings in place.
While this method had become commonplace in North America, fast-track construction was relatively foreign to Korean builders. Yet, the approach was chosen as it can save the client time and money.
In addition, we carried out a value engineering program to build a deluxe hotel within the client's tight budget. As such, our knowhow and construction expertise satisfied both the client and the architect.
