The Grand Hyatt Jakarta Hotel is the one of Indonesia’s monumental luxury hotels. Many high-profile government officials attended the dedication ceremony, including the Indonesian President Suharto and his wife.

The client was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the building, which far exceeded their expectations. Ssangyong also completed a shopping center that houses some 450 boutiques and a department store two months ahead of schedule, thereby receiving US$520,000 from the client as an unprecedented bonus.The completion of the hotel is seen as contributed to upgrading construction technology in Indonesia.

In particular, the state-of-the-art method applied to the project to making it possible to withstand earthquakes still makes it a field trip destination by engineering major’s students from 22 local universities, including the prestigious Universities Indonesia.

Our capability and credibility demonstrated during the construction of this hotel led us to win a construction project for a 41-storey office building, a 47-storey apartment and a 6-storey shopping center next to the hotel in 2006.
