Designed by US-based I. M. Pei & Partners, the Raffles City boasts two hotels, including the 73-storey Stamford Hotel, which was listed in the Guinness Book of Records in 1986 as the tallest hotel in the world.
Taking into account Singapore’s rainy season, we identified rainfree days after analyzing the climate data for the previous five years and poured concrete mat foundations for a consecutive 48 hours - a world record.
The former Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew, lauded our efficiency and productivity on the project in his speech celebrating the 20th anniversary of Singapore’s Independence in August, 1985.
