The Hanoi Tower Center is a high-end hotel with 204 rooms and in the beginning the local Vietnamese thought it was impossible to complete the construction within such a short two- year time frame however, thanks to innovative construction methods and equipment, the construction was completed in December 1997.

As an excessive amount of steel bars were to be used in order to handle earthquakes, it applied long steel bars that connected three floors to reduce the number and weight of steel bars, and to strengthen the sandy foundation, it applied the ‘beam pile’ method where it dug down 50 meters and put in ground hardeners, steel bars, and concrete to make piles.

Also, it could cut the construction period to build each floor from 15 days to 5 to 6 through replacing round columns with steel forms and systemizing the construction process of which contributed to cost reduction.

Various new construction methods were applied in the building and it attracted much attention and was visited by local construction firms and engineering schools.
