المشروع المشترك لشركة سانغ يونغ للهندسة والإنشاء، الفائز بعقد بناء المرافق الصحية في منطقة وودلاندز السنغافورية بقيمة 740 مليون دولار أمريكي

2018-03-15

Ssangyong Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd("Ssangyong"), Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd("Daewoo") and Koh Brothers Building & Civil Engineering Contractor (Pte.) Ltd.("Koh Brothers") Consortium has been awarded the Woodlands Health Campus project  for U$ 740 Million.

With 246,000㎡ of the total ground floor area, the Woodlands Health Campus (WHC), the first smart hospital in Singapore, will comprise an acute hospital, a community hospital, specialist outpatient clinics and a nursing home - marking the first time all facilities are conceptualised and built simultaneously. The 1,800-bed integrated facility will complete progressively from 2022.

WHC aims to reinvent the way care is delivered by breaking organisational and process boundaries. The goal is for future patients to enjoy seamless accessibility across the acute, intermediate and community care settings. The Campus will achieve this by leveraging SMART technologies and intuitive design, to enhance care within the hospital, and extend the reach of our healthcare professionals into the community.

Ssangyong (Leader), Daewoo and Koh Brothers Consortium have been working on this prestigious project since December 2016 and only four Consortiums were shortlisted at the PQ stage.

A Spokesperson for the Consortium said, "Throughout the whole Tender Process, we presented the importance of integration among parties for synergy, top-notch safety management, provision for design changes and proposed Mobile Web Application of Information management including Building Information Modelling (BIM) data to meet the the high standards expected of a public healthcare development project. As a result, we came up with the optimal design and methodology and on 5 March, Ssangyong-Daewoo-Koh Brothers Consortium officially received the Letter of Acceptance to be the main contractor for this prestigious project."

"Challenges are to be expected with any large infrastructure development. However, the team is confident that with the close collaboration between our key stakeholders, it will be able to overcome anticipated issues. Co-ordination will be a key factor for the successful and timely completion of WHC."
