‘There could be hundreds of people who own land in excess of 50,000 ㎡(15,125 pyeong) in Indonesia.’
‘When implementing development projects in Singapore, the land price might account for around 80 percent of the total project cost.’

The publication of this guide to overseas real estate developments, including feasibility analyses, development procedures and contracts, along with regional customs and characteristics, is attracting wide attention.

Recently, Yoon Taek-Man (43 years old/ Overseas Business Division 1), the department head of Ssangyong E&C, published “Introduction to Overseas Real Estate Development - First step in the fight over timing and the creation of space (published by Chungram Publisher) based on his 20 years worth of know-how and experience in handling overseas real estate development projects.
There have been books that have dealt with investment in overseas properties and the overseas contract-based construction, but this is the first instance that a book covering everything about overseas real estate development, including various contract forms, has been published.

The book helps readers to easily understand the overseas real estate development history, which includes the following content: i) procedure and feasibility/market analysis methods for overseas real estate development and ii) fund-raising methods, international bidding and quotations, forms of contracts/official documentation according to the situation.

Especially, detailed explanations about the customs and characteristics of four major Southeastern countries - Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam - are provided for those that lack the essential hands-on-experience.

The writer Yoon Taek-Man said, "I always found it annoying that there wasn’t any book to refer to as a reference while I was in charge of overseas real estate development projects. So, I tried to come up with a guide to overseas real estate development that included everything I have learned over the past 20 years. This includes checklists for overseas projects and various contracts and letter forms for different situations."
