Consecutively Winning the Orders for the Four River Restoration Project, including the Nakdonggang River and the Geumgang River

On Jan. 26, a consortium including Ssangyong E&C won the turnkey project contract, worth an estimated 53 billion won (Ssangyong E&C’s stake of 20% approximates 11 billion won), for the Nakdonggang River Restoration Project Zone 31 (Gumi district 7) ordered by the Public Procurement Service (demand: Busan Regional Maritime Affairs & Port Office).
The construction period for the project is 27 months, and on completion, it is expected to improve the rivers that run 5.95 km from the left bank (Sillim-ri ~ Gasan-ri, Dogae-myeon, Gumi-si, Gyeongbuk) to the right bank (Saengmok-ri ~ Okseong-myeon Neungso-ri, Seonsan-eup, Gumi-si, Gyeongbuk) of Gumi-si, Gyeongbuk.
Additionally, on the same date, the consortium including Ssangyong E&C won the turnkey project contract, worth an estimated 57 billion won (Ssangyong E&C’s stake of 20% approximates 12 billion won), for the Geumgang River Restoration Project Zone 5 (Buyeo district).
The construction period for the project is 60 months. The aim of the project is to improve the rivers that run 9.08 km from the left bank (Hyeonbuk-ri ~ Gugyo-ri, Buyeo-eup, Buyeo-gun, Chungnam) to the right bank (Jangam-myeon, Jangha-ri ~ Gyuam-myeon, Sin-ri, Buyeo-eup, Chungnam) of Buyeo-gun, Chungnam.
Meanwhile, in September of last year, Ssangyong E&C won the turnkey project contracts for the Nakdonggang River Restoration Project Zone 22 (Goryeong district, Dalseong) and the Geumgang River Restoration Project Zone 6 (Cheongnam district). Thus, Ssangyong E&C has won all four river restoration projects and thus will be carrying out construction in four zones of the Geumgang and Nakdonggang Rivers.
