Ssangyong Engineering & Construction has won a design and build project for a W Singapore - Sentosa Cove Hotel in Singapore for 150 billion won ($130 million) lastweek, the company said yesterday. The 7-story, 241-guestroom hotel with a basement will be built along the coastline of Sentosa Island. The hotel willbe equipped with a 500-seat banquet hall, a yacht pier, a plush restaurant, a swimming pool and a private spa. The hotel will also have green features such as low-E glass, which has highly insulating properties,and a roof membrane that minimizes energy consumption, the company said. The W Singapore - Sentosa Cove Hotel , which is also well known in Korea, is part of the Quayside Collection Development Project, planned and operated by the City Developments Limited, the largest real estate developer in the city state. The CDL is a subsidiary of the Hong Leong Group, which is the largest business in Singapore, they added.
