Chairman&CEO of Ssangyong Engineering Construction Kim Suk-joon Greets the New Year with its Overseas Employees

2008-12-30

It has been the norm for Ssanyong Engineering Construction’s CEO to greet the New Year on sites abroad every year. This year was no exception. The Chairman&CEO and President Kim Suk-joon of Ssangyong Engineering Construction, famous for spending time with employees abroad on every New Year’s holiday, also ushered in the New Year with executives and employees abroad. This showcases his so-called ‘skin-ship management’ that helps abate the loneliness of employees abroad.

From December 30 to January 5, 2009, Chairman&CEO Kim plans to greet the New Year by visiting the New Delhi representative office and also some of the more remote places like the highway construction site in India’s Madya Pradesh State, and the plant site in Jubail in Saudi Arabia. On each occasion, he will encourage employees there, and greet the New Year with them.

His overseas visits were even record-breaking: five airplane transfers when he visited the plant site in Iran in 1992 and a 54-hour travel via airplane and car during his 72-hour business trip upon visiting 10 sites in three countries during the Thanksgiving holidays in 1986.
