In Singapore, Ssangyong’s Oceanfront Condominium Jobsite wins Silver Prize in safety innovation

The Company won its first safety-related prize in a foreign country. On July 25, the Company’s Oceanfront Condominium Jobsite / Project Manager: Suh Gyeong-chul) won the Silver Prize at the SCAL WSH INNOVATION CONVENTION 2008 hosted by the SCAL, Singapore Contractors Association Ltd. (SCAL).
The prize-winning technology for a temporary platform for lifting PBU (Prefab Bath Units), using tower/mobile cranes makes it possible to carry out all work within a building, thus minimizing the risk of accidents.
The technology also won the prize in the architectural sector in in-house technology evaluation contest held last March as well as the Honorable Mention Prize, the ROSPA AWARDS 2008 in the U.K.
