New employees of Ssangyong E&C undergo 7-day overseas training session

-In an effort to train talented employees to regain the prestige of a leading business in overseas construction sector

70 employees paying visits to Singapore and Indonesia in commemoration of the 30th anniversary


Ssangyong E&C(Chairman & CEO Kim S.Joon)said that its 70 newly hired employees underwent an overseas training session in Singapore and Indonesia between September 16 and 22 and between September 30 and October 6.

The session was carried out in commemoration of the Company’s 30th anniversary. Overseas training programs for newly hired employees had also been carried out in the 1990-1997 period. The attendees took a look at projects the Company carried out in those countries, including The Raffles City Complex in Singapore, which includes 73-story Swissotel, The Stamford Hotel listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest hotel in the world in 1986 and the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore, which will be the largest architectural project in the history.

The attendees also vied with each other through a UCC contest in which they formed teams and made corporate PR films.

A Ssangyong E&C official said, “In addition to the session provided for newly hired employees, the Company provides diversified programs designed to train new employees as experts in overseas construction works in connection with the ongoing effort to regain the prestige as a leading business in overseas construction.”
