Ssangyong wins building work for Busan New Port North Container Terminal [Phase 2-1]

On July 3, the consortium led by Ssangyong Eng & Const won the building work for Busan New Port North Container Terminal [Phase 2-1] from the Busan Port Authority for 11.5 billion won (Ssangyong’s portion: 10.0 billion won or 87%).
The work is comprised of ten buildings for the Busan New Port [Phase2-1] Infrastructure Work jobsite in Angol-dong, Jinhae. The work period is for 18 months.
Ssangyong Eng & Const was also selected as the preferential bidder for the No.2 Highway (Private sector-invested project) for Busan New Port in August 2006 and for Busan New Port Phase 2-4 (Private sector-proposed project) whose total work expense comes to 411.5 billion won (Ssangyong’s portion: 61.6 billion won or 15%) in March 2007.
