Ssangyong E&C Receives Two Orders for Luxury Residences in Dubai, UAE

2024-03-25

Ssangyong E'C, a leading global construction company, has announced that it has received two orders for luxury residences in Dubai, UAE.

The company has been awarded two simultaneous contracts for Creek Waters, luxury residences in Dubai Creek Harbour, with a combined value of approximately USD 223 million.

The orders were made by EMAAR, UAE's largest real estate developer, which owns Burj Khalifa and is listed on the Dubai financial market. This year, as EMAAR is preparing to double last year's orders for large-scale developments, including residential buildings, hotels, and villas, Ssangyong E'C has expectations to receive additional orders from the developer.

These first orders from EMAAR are expected to have a positive impact on Ssangyong's competitiveness and market presence in Dubai and the Middle East, as well as diversification of its client base beyond the existing ICD and WASL.

Creek Waters 1 and 2, slated for construction in the Creek Harbour area, Dubai's new residential center, will be two 52-story, high-end residential buildings with two basement floors. The buildings will have 450 and 455 units, respectively.

"With the simultaneous awarding of two luxury residential projects, we are expanding the high-end construction market in Dubai's Creek Harbour area," said a member of Ssangyong E'C. "We expect to win additional orders, especially since our technology and reputation are highly valued by clients after the successful completion of Atlantis The Royal in Dubai."

Since its first entry into the Dubai market in 1997, Ssangyong E'C has won a total of 14 projects worth KRW 3.9 trillion from ICD and WASL, with construction currently underway.
