USD 71.2 billion military facility construction contract

On October 6th, SsangYong E&C solely won a USD 71.2 billion worth contract at the tender of the Armed Forces Financial Management Corps.
By far, this contract is the largest project offered by the Financial Management Corps this year, and winning such contract is considered the result of its upturned credibility with an improvement in management indexes after the rehabilitation process.
This was also an opportunity for SsangYong E&C to enhance its competitiveness and to prepare for future military facility tenders by on-site surveys, supervisor meeting, design variation and budget analyzing, finding out competitors’ tendering strategies, and figuring out subcontractors’ work cost based on various construction types.
This project will be constructed in Ilwon, Haemi-myeon, Seosan-si, Chungcheongnam-do and consist of 4 buildings of 4-storied military facilities which will be used as accommodation for officers, various official residences, cafeteria and other amenities.
